W. Ronald Redmond, DDS, MS, FACD, National Board President

Dr. Ronald Redmond is a long-time San Clemente resident and passionate philanthropic giver. His career in orthodontics spans nearly four decades of professional practice and community outreach. Dr. Redmond graduated from the University of Pacific, School of Dentistry, San Francisco and continued to earn his M.S. in Orthodontics from the University of Southern California where he is now a Clinic Instructor. Following two year's military service in the United States Navy, Dr. Redmond went on to establish a private Orthodontic Practice currently with offices in several regional locations including San Clemente, Laguna Niguel, Irvine, Trabuco Canyon, California, as well as Seattle, Washington. Dr. Redmond is married to Margaret Fyke and they have three children: Bill, John, and Suzanne.
Dr. Mark L. Dake

Dr. Mark L. Dake obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he graduated with distinction. Dr. Dake received his Master of Science in Dentistry and his orthodontic certification from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1986. Having been in private practice since 1986, he is a Diplomate of the ABO, serves as chairman for the Council of Governmental Affairs for the AAO, and is a member of several professional organizations. Dr. Dake and his wife Kim have three children.

Teresa D. Gast

Teresa D. Gast is a partner with Cain, Watters & Associates, PLLC (CWA). CWA is a fee only financial planning firm located in Dallas, Texas that primarily helps clients in the dental field. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing her clients' entire financial plan which includes their pension plans, insurance, investments, taxes, etc in addition to her responsibilities as part owner in the firm. Teresa graduated from Kansas State University with a master’s in Accountancy. Teresa resides in Coppell, Texas with her two children, Cody and Reilley.

S. Richard Levin

S. Richard Levin is an Attorney and President of Triad Title Company. His work focuses primarily on commercial real estate and commercial title insurance. Prior to founding Triad Title, Mr. Levin was an Assistant General Counsel with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. dealing with real estate matters and acquisitions. During his employment at Wal-Mart, Mr. Levin performed the real estate due diligence on over 400 stores that were acquired by Wal-Mart in Japan, Puerto Rico, Brazil and Argentina. Previous to Wal-Mart, Mr. Levin was a partner in a private law firm in Syracuse, New York and owner of a real estate closing company and title insurance agency. Mr. Levin holds an MBA from Adelphi University and a J.D. from Syracuse University. He is admitted to practice in New York, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Arkansas and the United States Supreme Court.
John K. McGill, CPA, MBA, JD

John K. McGill is a tax attorney, CPA and MBA. He serves as CEO of The McGill & Hill Group, LLC in Charlotte, NC, and a partner with the law firm of McGill & Hassan, P.A. He is also President of John K. McGill & Company.
Mr. McGill has been providing customized tax and business planning services exclusively for the dental profession for 30 years. During this time, he as helped over 850 dentists across the country achieve financial independence, for reduced stress and greater peace of mind. He is also the Editor of the McGill Advisory Newsletter, a monthly publication enjoyed by over 7,200 dentists nationwide helping help them increase profits, reduce taxes, and achieve their financial goals. Mr. McGill has also been a contributing editor to Dental Economics magazine for over 25 years.
He graduated with honors from Erskine College with a BS in Business and Economics and a concentration in Accounting. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also holds a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was awarded the Touche Ross, CPAs, Tax Law Scholarship. He formerly worked with the Office of Chief Counsel, the legal branch of the Internal Revenue Service, in Washington, D.C.
Mr. McGill has presented hundreds of programs to local, state, and national dental organizations including: ADA and AAO National Conventions, Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting, , Super Schulman Orthodontic Study Club, AAO Orthodontist as CEO, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Southwestern Society of Oral Surgeons, and American Academy of Dental Practice Administration.

Donald R. Montano, DDS, MSD

“I decided to become an orthodontist in the seventh grade when I had to prepare a career paper.”
The long road to becoming an orthodontist started with Don Montano paying his own way through a junior college, San Bernardino Valley College. After receiving an academic scholarship he transferred to the University of California, Riverside where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology. Next came four years of dental school at the University of California, San Francisco where he graduated with a Bachelor in Dentistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). He was also honored as a University of California Regent Scholar. To become an orthodontic specialist Dr. Montano attended the University of Washington in Seattle and received his Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD). After ten years of college, he was finally Dr. Montano, DDS., MSD.
Dr. Montano has been in the exclusive practice of orthodontics since 1987. In 1988 he left Los Angeles and bought his current practice in Bakersfield. He has seen many changes over the years, but his dedication to provide a caring environment and state of the art treatment to each patient has remained.
In an effort to keep up with the ever-changing world of technology and great advances in orthodontic care, Dr. Montano regularly attends numerous training and educational seminars. He is also an active member of several organizations, including:

He has been married to Melinda Montano since 1990, and they have enjoyed traveling all over the world together. Even the additions of their daughters, Hali and Chloe, have not slowed them down! However, their excursions have become more family friendly. In his spare time Dr. Montano takes pleasure in raising and riding horses, gardening, and tending to his large Koi pond.
Roger Hill

Roger K. Hill is president of Roger K. Hill & Company (a member of The McGill & Hill Group), a firm specializing in dental practice transitions. With over 30 years of experience in working with general dentists and specialists, Mr. Hill serves clients across the United States providing transition planning for practice sales, partnerships (buy-in/buy-out), associateships and other activities. Mr. Hill is an active speaker, frequently addressing national, state, study clubs, and other professional groups. He has been published extensively in many publications on these subjects and, at the request of the American Dental Association, has published a definitive guide to practice transitions. Prior to his work in these areas, Mr. Hill held an administrative position at Baylor College of Medicine, and before that, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital. He received his M.S.A. from the University of Houston in 1976 and has participated in professional graduate training in the specialties of Valuation Theory and Application as well as real estate law. He joined The McGill & Hill Group in February 1997. Mr. Hill resides in Charlotte with his wife, Sandra; he has two daughters.
Jeff Behan – VisionTrust Communications

Jeff Behan is currently in his 28th year as a marketing communications specialist. He is a frequent speaker at orthodontic meetings where his subject matter focuses on internal/external communication, sales performance, connecting with existing and prospective patients, referral-building and practice branding. Over his career, he has played an integral role in the development of strategy and implementation of marketing campaigns for a diverse array of clients including; Major Public Utility Companies, Intel Corporation and Delta Airlines as well as numerous dental and orthodontic companies including Align Technology, Ormco and OraMetrix. He is the principal member of VisionTrust Communications, providing staff training, customized communications tools and consulting to a wide array of clients throughout the United States, with a primary emphasis on orthodontic practice development, including many of the top practices in North America.
Kim Barrs-Jenkins

Kim Barrs-Jenkins works in the marketing field and is a Senior Account Manager at Mass Media Marketing. Her previous experience included seven years as an Account Executive with The Augusta Chronicle, where she specialized in developing, creating and selling advertisements to a variety of clients, both local and national. After being recruited for her expertise in print media, in 2006 she accepted a position with Mass Media Marketing, a full service advertising agency. She became involved with Smile For A Lifetime Foundation because of her compassionate personality and to help those less fortunate receive the gift of a beautiful smile. Kim Barrs-Jenkins resides in North Augusta, South Carolina with her husband, Jimmy and two beautiful boys, Britten and Brady.

Michelle Von Fange serves as the National Executive Director of Smile for a Lifetime. Michelle has over 18 years of non-profit experience serving with local, state and national organizations in leadership positions, with a majority of that work in youth serving agencies. Her masters and bachelor’s degrees are in education with a minor in communications. Working closely with her husband, she has also served as an entrepreneur running several businesses over the years. As a volunteer, she currently serves as a committee member with the Colorado Governor’s Commission on Community Service’s Disability Inclusion Team. Michelle and her family reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she enjoys jeeping, hiking, family events and volunteering.
